Rewards & Purchases

In order to reward associates for special efforts in certain areas, we have established a monetary award for qualified associates.

Associate Referral Reward

Our associates are the most valuable asset of our company.  To remain the best in the business, we always want to grow our teams with talented people like you! If you refer a qualified candidate to our organization, we will offer you the following incentives for a qualified, Full-Time employee referral:

  1. $250.00 – 30 days after hire
  2. $250.00 – 60 days after hire
  3. $1,000.00 – 180 days after hire

If, for any reason, a referred associate resigns or is dismisses, absolutely no reflection will be made on the referring associate.

To be paid the prospect reward, the referring associate’s name must be entered in the proper space on the employment application or mentioned to the hiring manager during the interview process.  Managers and officers in the company are not eligible for this referral bonus. The associate is responsible for contacting their manager when payment is due. The referral bonus is only valid for first-time hires, not rehires.

Internal Security Reward System

Any associate (except officers or managers) providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individual vandalizing or stealing company property or funds, a customer’s property while under our custody, or another associate’s property while on our premises will receive a reward of $500 to $1,000 depending on the situation. The amount is determined by the General Manager. This does not include information found in the line of the associate’s normal company duties.

Associate Purchase

This policy applies to associates and their immediate family members. The automobile business is highly competitive and operates with very low net profit margins in vehicle sales, parts, and service. All associates will be treated fairly and consistently and are encouraged to purchase products and services from the company. Associates will be given good prices without having to negotiate each new purchase. For service labor, associates will receive a 25% discount, and for parts, associates will pay 10% over cost.

After six months of employment, each associate may purchase up to two new vehicles per calendar year using the associate purchase policy. New vehicles may be purchased at invoice if there is a factory holdback, less incentive rebate. Vehicles with no holdback will be sold to associates for invoice plus 3%, less any factory incentives or rebates. Please check with the general manager of the selling store for specific pricing.

Units on factory allocation do not qualify for this pricing. Certain manufacturers have special dealership employee purchase programs available for new vehicles of that brand. Please check with the general manager of the selling store for specifics.

Used car sales can be challenging as each vehicle is unique and not easily replaced. The value of a used vehicle is often debated among experts and no pricing policy can be established for associate purchases in this category. The company will charge a fair price in relation to the retail value of the vehicle.

Normally, a used retail vehicle should remain available for sale to a retail customer for 30 days prior to special pricing to an associate. The general manager will determine the price. Associate discounts are available for cash, credit cards, or bank-financed transactions only. Any transaction on other terms will be billed at retail prices. It is a violation of policy to hold any sales tickets.

CMA cannot offer discounts to associates for document fees, as such fees are regulated by the State.
