Supporting Childhood Literacy in Richmond

CMA’s Richmond Dealerships joined forces with the United Way in March and April to raise funds, purchase, and then assemble Literacy Kits.

These Literacy Kits will be given to local incoming kindergarteners at their registration in hopes of giving them a fun activity to get them ready to learn to read. Each of the kits consists of a hand decorated box filled with a book, crayons, pencils and various other supplies.

The Richmond Philanthropy team delivered 200 Literacy Kits to the Richmond United Way headquarters. This project was one part of CMA’s first quarter focus on supporting education.
