This story comes from Jessica Hicks from CMA’s Honda of Lynchburg.
In 2019, a customer called to let me know she sold her car and needed another one. She was living with her sister and didn’t have a vehicle. They were sharing one car together. I got her approved for a Honda Fit over the phone but she was not able to purchase it at the time. We soon became friends on Facebook.
Fast forward to Thursday, 6/8/23, the customer called me from a local hotel in Lynchburg. She was alone and uncertain of her next steps but recognized that acquiring a car was the best step towards getting back on her feet. Together, with my colleague Ryan Serro, we went to the hotel to pick her up. We successfully obtained bank approval for her on a CRV, which I had taken in the previous night. Since she didn’t have online banking set up, I assisted her in creating an account to retrieve the required 3 months of bank statements. Additionally, we established an online account with the Social Security Administration to acquire her award letter as proof of income. To fulfill the bank’s requirement for proof of insurance, we collaborated to set up coverage and obtained the binder from them. Seth Martin and our service department helped me tremendously by getting the car through and Kevin got right on it in detail. We all worked together as a team to help her. We were even able to provide her with lunch. She is doing great and feeling hopeful about her future now that she was able to get a vehicle from us.
Thank you to Jessica Hicks and everyone involved for going above and beyond to provide an #UncommonLevelofCare!
