CMA’s Green Action Team (GAT) February Meeting Recap!

Our Green Action Team is excited to share their 2024 Plan with everyone!

Thank you to Katherine Waller for summarizing the GAT meeting to ensure CMA associates are aware of all things happening sustainability related!

• Quarter 1 will focus on Dealership Sustainability Audits. The audit assessed how well individual dealerships were doing in areas such as energy conservation, recycling, and other green initiatives.
• Quarter 2 will focus on Earth Day (we will be celebrating all month long!), April 22nd, and Spring Pride. Be on the look out for a GREEN Trivia contest here on CMA People coming soon!
• Quarter 3 will focus on Drive Electric Week and all things EV!
• Quarter 4 will focus on National Recycling Day, November 15th!

One of the 2024 GAT Priority Projects involves installing at least 1 TV monitor/sustainability wall display at each dealership to house GAT info as well as other community initiatives!

GAT also reviewed a new project where plastic film is being recycled from the new cars and where other dealerships are trying to do the same. We are still looking into other commercial companies to take plastic. On the paper front, we are looking into 100% recycled paper. We are in contact with a few companies discussing price and who will deliver to the various stores. We are close to being 100% recycled paper consumers!
