Good afternoon, CMA Team!
As many of you already know the FTC has issued new guidelines for all car dealerships that require tighter computer and network security as well as continued training for all employees to ensure that our IT systems and networks remain safe and stable, and all customer data remain private and uncompromised. Some measures we are taking to ensure we meet these guidelines include upgrading to Cisco Duo which will include MFA (multi-factor authentication) to sign into (login) to computers.
You will be seeing representatives from our IT company Networking-Solutions coming to each dealership in the coming weeks to install and train on these upgrades. We will give notice before the site visits take place and at that time the professionals on site from Networking-Solutions will be happy to answer any questions you may have about Duo, MFA, or anything else regarding these new regulations. Please expect to receive emails asking you to create log ins and security credentials from Microsoft Duo and ComplyAuto. Emails pertaining to these products are NOT spam!
However, in addition to those upgrades, a phishing email campaign will be rolling out soon as well. Many of you are already very vigilant about not opening or clicking links in any suspicious looking emails which is great, please continue to report any email you feel may be a phishing scam.
As always, thank you for your understanding and flexibility while we introduce these few changes to keep CMA complaint and safe!
If you have any questions, please open a ticket.
Thanks,
Networking Solutions CMA Team
