At our annual audit meeting, Brown Edwards recognized two of our controllers for exemplary work on this year’s audit: Linda Labons and Diane Lawson! In addition, they gave a huge unanimous shout out to Karen Good for not only leading the team but also for jumping in and taking the reigns of the Charlottesville market when we had to make a change in controllers close to the end of the year. They truly are unsung heroes and deserve this recognition for keeping the wheels turning in our dealerships!
Linda Labons is the Controller overseeing CMA’s Winchester Honda/Hyundai and Toyota/CDJR/Chevy of Martinsburg. She was recognized for her stand-out performance during our year-end audit. Linda, with the strong support of Barbara Vanorsdale who leads the team in Martinsburg, provided our auditors with everything on time and accurately. Given that it was her first full year with the former Miller stores, this was an impressive feat!
Diane Lawson overseas the accounting for CMA and CMA Properties. She was also recognizes for her accurate and timely submission of all required documents for the audit. Given that the scope of operations of CMA and CMAP have grown tremendously over the past year, this was a huge accomplishment.
When the Charlottesville accounting office desperately needed help getting caught-up, staffed, and through the year-end audit, Karen Good, with the help of Jessica Butler, stepped up big time. They have been working tirelessly for three solid months and refuse to let up until everything in the office is working properly. It has been an extremely difficult task and we truly commend them for their hard work!
