CMA CARE Moment: Jason Fleming

This CMA Care Moment recognizes Jason Fleming from CMA’s Hyundai of Lynchburg! Jason made this post on Facebook and we wanted to share it with our CMA family!

“Kevin came to me yesterday and told me about a great customer he had that needed a little help.

I reached out to her and she told me her Tucson she bought from us last year was due for maintenance but she wasn’t able to leave her home due to medical issues.

After hearing her situation, I offered to come pick up her car and leave her a loaner while we serviced her Tucson.

When I arrived at her house to do the exchange she insisted I come in. With the hustle and bustle of my everyday rolling around in my head, my brain was trying to find a way, an excuse, to get back to work. I resisted that urge and I spent time with this customer.

She welcomed me into her home and she had to tell me her story. She was so grateful from the start that I had taken time out of my day to do something for her.

A recent widow, she had an amazing story of her family’s fame, her late husband’s ministry work and everything she’s done that has changed lives, including her own, with positivity being her main principle.

I was so inspired by her story and humbled. She told me she doesn’t have family nearby and it’s hard to get certain things done. So, she asked me if I didn’t mind helping her with a few small things before I left.

I helped with boxes she hadn’t been able to move, her guest room bed frame wasn’t set up right, so I fixed that too.

After that was done she asked me about our dealership and how I was liking it since it changed to CMA. I told her how wonderful it was and how a great culture and community beliefs can change lives. I shared with her how it changed mine.

I was only there for 25 minutes!

I brought her car back to the dealership and had it serviced.  I could tell by the condition of her car she didn’t get out much so after getting it serviced, I ran it through a wash.

When I delivered it, I told her I had a surprise for her. I knew she would deeply appreciate a clean vehicle and tears came to her eyes when she saw it.

I gave her my cell number and told her if she needed anything, to call me. Car related or not, it didn’t matter.

That connection I made will be with me forever because I felt it in my heart.

Something so simple became so big to me, and to her.

That feeling is what it’s all about.
