In Memoriam: Teresa Jordon

The CMA’s Richmond Dealerships team lost a valuable part of their team to breast cancer last week.

Teresa Jordon has worked in different Accounting roles over the last few decades and most recently headed up the Accounts Receivables team.

She was diligent, capable and had a work ethic beyond words. This was exemplified by her determination to continue to work during her treatments.

She not only fought cancer valiantly herself, but supported friends and family in their own battles.

Many have shared their memories and reflections this week since her passing.

Ed Nicol, GM of CMA’s Colonial Honda and CMA’s Colonial Kia was one of the first to share.

“Most of you know by now, Teresa Jordon passed away this morning. I first worked with her at the Dominion Auto Group 25 years ago. She has always been funny, tough and opinionated but always a great worker. She is gone too soon, but wouldn’t want us to shed a tear for her. She laughed about every adversity she faced and would expect us to celebrate her life not mourn her passing. She was truly one of the good ones.”

Another shared:

“When she loved you she cared about everything about you.”

Teresa’s Work Family at CMA’s Colonial Honda

The Accounting team, or more fittingly “Teresa’s Work Family,” compiled a collection of words that describe their friend most accurately.

Strong, charismatic, fierce, intelligent, Hardworking, best friend, unapologetically funny, caring, feisty, unique, mother, grandmother, selfless, blatantly honest, bulldog, sassy, warm, spastic, the life of the party, and always authentic!

Teresa was someone that you could go to if you didn’t know what to say or do.  She had her own special way of helping you figure it out.

She is and will be deeply missed by many. ❤️

In support of their fellow owners in Richmond, all month long CMA’s Valley Dealerships are bringing awareness to Breast Cancer. The associates are wearing pink, promoting on social media, and making donations through “jeans day.” These donations will be going directly to the family of Teresa Jordon.
