This is the 2nd auto show the Liberty University students have put on and CMA has been with them since the start.

The Auto Club is a student led and student run club for auto enthusiasts. Their membership has grown from 93 to 275 in just 1 year!
At Liberty, there is currently an Automotive Dealership Leadership cognate (5 courses) to help prepare business students intent on becoming GMs or owners. The Auto Show draws attention to the program, the University and provides the opportunity for students to network with GMs, owners and hiring managers in a relaxed and fun environment.

At this event, CMA provided:
- Lincoln
- Volvo
- Cadillac
- Honda
- Hyundai
- CDJR
- Nissan
- Ford
Each brand was showcased in it’s own tent with an original team conceived and executed fully by students. The club has a “board of directors” to help guide the event.

At the VIP night we had quite a group! Carter Myers, Beth Lucchesi, Judi Anderson, Matt Bacon, Kevin Hamlet (and his lovely wife!), Justin Morgan, Ken Kraft, Nate Antesberger and Jacob (our Liberty intern) – others came out Saturday and Sunday!
Over the course of the weekend, we were able to reconnect with our student teams from last year, forge new relationships, including setting up three interviews for the Lynchburg teams and one possible sales lead for the Ford team in Williamsburg.
The execution of the event involved GMs, SMs, accounting and insurance and I am grateful to all for their support of the fabulous program!
The icing on the cake was CMA’s Hyundai of Lynchburg was the winning team! (Pictured below) Their booth showed Hyundai’s charity, a driving quiz (with results mapped out as folks participated), a driving simulator and showed off a new Santa Cruz, Kona & Sonata.
All in all it was a great weekend for the automotive industry – dealers working together, students showcasing talents and the public having a display of more than 15 OEMs to check out all in one no-pressure environment!
