More Recruitment Fun!

CMA’s Richmond stores hosted 16 Seniors from the Henrico County ACE Auto Tech II class last month for a Shadow Day.

Each store hosted a few students and a chaperone and were greeted by GMs, Sales associates and everyone who was available to say Hello!

The Service Managers conducted a tour of their facilities, ending in the shop where the students were paired with Master Techs and teams and spent the remainder of their time lending a hand, getting dirty and learning!

At lunch we came together for some Q & A, honest advice and a little joking around.  Following this event, CMA’s Colonial Subaru hosted the students, along with their parents, for a Parent’s Night!

16 Seniors along with parents & family members came out to learn about career opportunities in Retail Automotive.

We had special guest Chris Smith, General Manager of Bill Talley Ford, join us to meet with students & parents and to show the collaboration in the Richmond Dealer market to support trade education and the students in Richmond!

Also attending the event were Dale King, Mark Schultz & Anthony Dejarnette of the ACE program who came out to support their students and help engage parents.

Along with Beth Lucchesi & Jon Carpenter, a wide array of CMA associates & owners came out as well.  Special thanks to:

  • Brian Hepburn
  • Harry Reebenaker
  • Corey Dahl
  • Karl Soloe
  • Luke Massey
  • Quinn McCarthy
  • Kelsey Morgan
  • Matt Bacon
  • David Inge
  • Crystal Downs
  • Jennie Lockett
  • Valerie Gerbasio

Your enthusiasm and support shined through to our guests and underscored the message of the diversity of jobs and talents within our industry.

Our presentation included a brief history of CMA, an overview of the CMA Technician Apprentice Program and a lengthy Q & A where students & parents asked great questions.

Thank you again to everyone who participated in the both of these events!
