Action Needed! – Proofpoint Emails

You have likely been receiving emails from Proofpoint Essentials. These need your attention!

A new product implemented by Networking Solutions, Proofpoint, is an email protection system that blocks phishing, spam, and viruses from reaching your inbox. Each day, throughout the day, you will receive a Proofpoint Essentials – Quarantine Digest that will show you emails that have been quarantined by Proofpoint. Within this email you will have the ability to:

  • Preview – Allows you to preview the message that was quarantined.
  • Release Email – Allows you to release a specific email from a sender ONE time.
  • Release & Approve – Allows you to have the desired message released immediately and tells Proofpoint Essentials engine that this sender is not a spammer.
  • Block – Adds the sender to the blocked sender list to ensure these messages are blocked regardless of content in the future.
  • Request New Digest – Requests the latest version of the digest to be delivered to your inbox.

The first Digest will be sent at 7:00AM and it will continue to be sent every four hours daily. Also, if you know someone has sent you an email in between the four-hour interval and you haven’t received it, you will then need to go back to a previous digest and select Request New Digest. Once you receive the new digest, the email that you were expecting to be delivered should be located there.
