Spring Pride 2022 Associate Recognitions!

We asked the managers at our dealership to send in their Spring Pride Associate Recognitions, to acknowledge those of you that went above and beyond to make this the most epic Spring Pride to date. And WOW! The response was incredible. And here they are, organized in alphabetical order by dealership name. Thank you ALL for your time, dedication and hard work!

From Todd Wheeler, CMA’s Colonial Auto Center – “Chris Bivona spent many Saturdays and many weekday evenings leading up to Spring Pride ensuring that all of our plans came to fruition.  Whether it be reorganizing the brake lathe room, ensuring the shop was clean, outside grounds were clear of leaves etc.  Chris’ contribution was above and beyond!”

Tammy’s new snack bar at CMA’s Colonial Chevy

From Kelsey Morgan, CMA’s Colonial Chevrolet – “Tammy Banning – Redid all of the decor in the showroom making it pleasurable to the customers eyes, and created a snack bar for them to enjoy. Kelly Thompson – Created a Green Team table to help encourage employees to continue to be involved with our Green initiative. Charlie Spencer helped prepare lunch on the girl that day, we had Hamburgers & hotdogs which the customer there that day enjoyed as well! Pricilla Bland (Cleaning Crew Vendor) – Stayed until 4am making sure our building was clean, smelling good with air freshies, and deep cleaned in places that needed attention.”

From Brian Hepburn, CMA’s Colonial Chevrolet – “Jordan Taylor & Alex Smith – Both of these guys did an exceptional job helping me get both shops cleaned up. Some of the highlights: Cleaned walls and every crack and crevice in both shops. Cleaned both shop bathrooms top to bottom, Reorganized both equipment storage areas. Cleaned up outside of service areas.”

From Talal El Oukaili, CMA’s Colonial Hyundai – “Jessica Compton, Kayla Sommers, Lexi Kerr, Crystal Downs, Cristy Nichols, Ron Rose, Mike Seamster and his team, Ron Rose and his team. A big thank you to all of you for your efforts for Spring Pride. The judges were very complimentary about the big improvement we have shown year over year and that couldn’t have happened without you. Next year let’s see if we can push the envelope a little further and win Spring Pride with our brand new facility. Congratulations and thank you so much!”

Valerie Gerbasio, Spring Pride Rockstar at CMA’s Richmond Dealerships

From Kim Garner, CMA’s Colonial Kia – “I would like to recognize Valerie Gerbasio for all of the hard work she put into helping us get the Kia store ready for Spring Pride. She stayed many nights until we turned the lights off and even came in on her days off to ensure everything was just right. From painting, to cleaning, to replacing bulbs and ceiling tiles there wasn’t a task she didn’t take on. Valerie doesn’t do what she does for recognition or gratitude she genuinely cares about each store. She truly is a hard and dedicated owner who just does more.”

From Tony Gagliardi, CMA’s Colonial Subaru – “Valerie Gerbasio came in on multiple days off and stayed late to help us get ready for Spring Pride. She scrubbed all of the walls inside of the dealership. She made the necessary calls to make sure that the outside of the dealership was clean and all of the lights were working. She went out and collected all of the extra cleaning supplies that we needed. Valerie sanitized and scrubbed down all of the restrooms. She cleaned all of the upstairs conference room. She also painted all of the necessary areas of the parking lot.

Eva Butler came in on her day off for a few hours to help Valerie clean the break room. She also cleaned the walls and doors inside of the stairwell. She scrubbed every single step on the stairs and every pole on the hand rails. She dusted our trophies. Jon Carpenter also came in on his day off to help his service techs mop the entire service shop. Jon also painted every necessary spot on the walls that needed it.

A lovely welcome at CMA’s Colonial Subaru

From Jon Carpenter, CMA’s Colonial Subaru – “Much like everyone I’m sure, my entire team jumped in and started preparing for Spring Pride. With that being said, 2 of my techs did come in on their days off to help prepare. Luke Wasson and Rick Arnett came in on their Saturday off to ensure the entire shop was ready for inspection. Eva Butler also came in on her day off to help prepare the store for inspection and did it with a cheery heart. Valerie Gerbasio does what she always does by going above and beyond to prepare. Yvette Crew also spent a great deal of time in sales preparing her side of the building. Again, my entire team pitched in and would hate to miss thanking them, but these individuals went the extra mile.”

From Ed Nicol, CMA’s Richmond Dealerships – “Karl Soloe, Jennie Lockett, Valerie Gerbasio, Miranda Archer – They just make it happen every year!”

From Darin Jenkins, CMA’s Honda of Winchester – “At CMA’s Honda of Winchester it was 100% team effort with every employee. We challenged each employee to help clean up their work space and everyone came thru. We also asked our 2 Handymen (Todd/Kenny) to do some extra painting for us which they did.

From Jason McDevitt, CMA’s Hyundai of Winchester – “I don’t know if you want to give the recognition to a GM or not, but I would say that Tony Grist put more effort into this event than anyone else I saw. There could have been others, however I have been spending so much time in the shop that I very well could have missed a lot. He had the building pressure washed, had mulch put down, windows cleaned, cleaning crew put more effort into the interior of the building, and finally, kept reminding all employees to put in a little effort each day to tidy the place up.”

Bobby’s team had welcome packets ready for the judges

From Bobby Williams, CMA’s Subaru of Winchester – “All the technicians at CMA’s Subaru of Winchester lead by Scott Bushman, Daniel Striker and Neil Lucas did a great job cleaning de-cluttering and organizing both shop buildings. They took turns operating the floor buffer to make an old floor look much better. Anthony Nikon for operating the floor buffer on the service drive area – hard work but a great result. Billie Jo Himelwright, our amazing porter, for her tremendous efforts and great attitude to assist Mandy Housley in all things needed to make our facility look great. Cindy Boush and her parts team for making sure they have a clean and organized parts department – no old electronics upstairs in the corner. LOL. Chuck Hanna and the entire sales team for seeing our facility thru our customers eyes, organizing and cleaning where needed. Tom Sanchez for always making sure our CMA vehicle badges are straight and installed properly. Mirror hangar pricing and inventory well displayed and clean.

Whether we win or lose the Spring Pride competition—I could not be more proud of the entire team effortWe make each other better!!

From Robert Migliaccio, CMA’s Valley CDJR – “I would shout out Kaitlyn Nuckols – Being only a few weeks in to working for CMA she was all hands on deck when it came to cleaning and painting the store to make it ready for Spring Pride. And also Keith Sprouse, Cody Shumaker, Brandon Shumaker, AJ Whitley, Conor Lehan, and Chris Harris for cleaning the shop.”

Billy making CMA’s Valley CDJR shine

From Ben Rexrode, CMA’s Valley CDJR – “Billy Krumpter worked till 9pm countless nights and weekends here. He took the highlift at CDJR and cleaned the whole building and polished the mirror front facia. At the old 320 building he painted the back side of the walls, he was all over campus helping us and making sure things were looking good for all our dealerships. While others contributed a lot, he is truly our standout!!!!!!”

From Milton Brooks, CMA’s Valley Nissan – “My whole team pitched in to show pride in my opinion! Along with keeping up with the daily work flow and taking pride in readying our facility for viewing.

Ronnie Liptrap and Mike Cappuzzo assisted with the service lane cleanup while continuing to serve our customers. Kaitlyn Rueda, Catherine Getz, Harold Wells, Gavin Smith, Dana Brock, JJ Dudley, Olivia Miller and myself did painting and cleaning around our facility. Wesley Bentley did an awesome job on the tool room and areas of the shop. Mr. Loving did his thang! Olivia Miller and Andrew Hankel did an incredible job straighten the parts room and organizing indoors and outdoors. Mary Beth Rexrode did a fantastic job cleaning our office! She even brought in her personal vacuum cleaner!

I am proud of my entire store for coming together and taking pride of our old building. Troy Henkel even suggested that we should maybe do this quarterly, which after talking to Chris Pannell, he agreed. So as a team I think we will continue to do just that.”

From Carmen Hinton, CMA’s Valley Subaru – “Ben Payne came in extra early one morning to help with cleaning. Larry Myers assisted with painting new lines for the parking lot. Keith Drum assisted with painting. Mr. Loving helped me with cleaning up the shop and organizing. Barbara Sheffer and Denise Frye helped with wiping down walls and cleaning stations, bathrooms, etc.”

From Jess Gentry, CMA’s Williamsburg FordFloyd Cowels. He spent days picking up debris on the back lot, even well into the tree line.

The newly cleaned up dumpster area at CMA’s Williamsburg Ford

Nick Crane spent an entire Saturday here with his own backpack blower cleaning up the lot as well as what was left from the tree work we had done. He actually even moved the dumpsters with his truck in a strap so that we could pull them out and clean underneath them. We had a lot of tires that have been stacking up with nowhere to go. It was his idea to rent a box truck and take them to a recycling place.”

Gary Rehm did a lot of the heavy lifting for almost the entire month prior to Spring Pride. He did a great job getting the team together and assisted with cleaning out the attic, not to mention many other things.

Rick Starr had the vision for reorganizing the attic. He spent several hours up there daily cleaning, shifting and reorganizing. He also had a great way of looking through things from a customers point of view having been affiliated with another automotive organization. He’s fairly new to us he really helped out neatening things up.
